Adding Buttons! ;)

This is a picture from the game link:
In creating my game so far their is one one game that really helped me in what i've done so far. The game is called WV Animal Rescue Squad. . This game has really helped me overcome some really diffucult stuff. Without this game I have no idea how I would have made it this far. This game has great graphics and animation. The best part is it is educational and really fun to play. Other people who are having trouble I suggest the look at the following video about adding buttons and the link above. Thank you for reading my blog! :)

Progress!

This picture is an example of a keyframe:
Today we are blogging about our progress so far and what we struggled with. Also what was easy for us to learn, and how we like Globaloria so far. Well as of right now in Globaloria I am working on the keyframes 1-12.  The hardest part is probably the coding. Especially the coding for the buttons. The easiest part was creating the title screen. The title screen was really easy with the drawing. Creating the key frames aren't that hard either. this is usually fun, but sometines it can also be really frustrating. If you want to check out my progress so far click the link below. Thanks for reading my blog.

Adding Scenes! :)

In my game on adding a scene I will use alot of visual storytelling to make sure the player understands it completely. If a player doesn't understand the game they won't like and won't ever play it. The game Medical Mysteries used a lot of visual storytelling to help the play understand the game. Also the game Drift Runners had alot of visual storytelling. Even though it wasn't educational it  was still fun to play because of how they set the game up. The video below is a bad example of visual storytelling. It doesn't explain anything about the game they are portraying!

Drawing a Scene : Plotting Points

Plotting Points
A concept that I learned about plotting points was what the most commonly used graph was called and what the difference was between different graphs. The resource I used to understand the concept was wikipedia and google. These resources really changed the way I look at plotting points. Not only am I making a learning game, but I am learning new things as I make the game. The graph that is most commonly used is called a Cartesian coordinate graph. This graph has the grid that you plot points on.

This project has been really cool. In doing this project it has really changed the way I think about my game. I changed the game setup, the concept of the game and, the way you play the game.  I have changed alot of things about my game to make it better.  I think it really will help my game and make it more interesting. At least I hope so anyway. The video below is about paper prototyping.
