What the Platform Game taught me

The platform game taught taught me alot of new stuff. I never knew how to make a platform and how to get it to work. Neither did my partner so this was a new experience for all of us. The only new things I learned to do was make platforms and get them to work. It's takes alot of steps to make a platform but I think it will all be worth it in the end. Nobody hardly ever uses platforms so it would be unique from everybody elses game. It would be a very cool experience for everyone. My platform game doesn't work all the way because my player just falls through the platforms. Today I mainly focused on adding alot of new details to my players and my background. In the end I think everything will look good and work properly. I'm really glad I learned all this stuff.

3 Things we've Accomplished so far (:

     At the beginning of the year I thought that this year in Globaloria was going to be easier than it was last year.It is kind of easier but since we have to use and 8th grade CSO that makes it more difficult. However even though it's harder would rather use our CSO's because ths is actual stuff we're learning this year. By using this CSO we might learn some new stuff that we didn't know as well.
     This year we are usng a whole new flash and  don't know if that's a good thng or not, because we had to learn everything over about the new flash since we hadn't used it before. We are just having some trouble wth getting our codes to work. In ur game we have made alot of the buttons and got them to work since that is the easiest thing to do. We just have a few more to finish and hat shouldn't take long.
     The second thing we've accomplihed so far is making most of our scenes. At the beginning of the year we were so focused on making a good wiki and fixing our team page that it kind of made us behind on our game. We learned that was a mistake. Our scenes take alot of wor since we have so much gameplay and interaction with the players which makes it harder for us.
     The final thing we've accomplished so far in Globaloria is our design. In each of our scenes we have alot of cool and unique designs. We also learned that we should have worked on our gameplay first and then worried about designs after everything else was finished. Our goal is to make designs unlike any others because we really want to have a really unique game.
     So, those are the three things we have accomplished this year in Globaloria. We know we have alot more to do before our game is completely finished. After today we are going to have to work really hard so that we have a really unique and fun game. I really think everything will get finished if we really try. This year we've all came a long way in Globaloria and we've learned so much.! (:

Game Construction....(:

After presenting our game demos we realized that we couldn't use the WV logo on our game because it was copyrighted. So we changed the picture to a different logo with a person beside of it.  The Globaloria people helped open up alot of new ideas we could use in our game and they gave us alot of good feedback. We decided that instead of one question on every level we would use two so the game is longer and more interactive for the player. We still have to make two level scenes in our game but hopefully it will be done in time for presentations. The hardest part in doing all of this is to make sure the codes work. Our game has changed alot since our original ideas from the beginning of the year. However it has al changed for the better. Their feedback was very helpful in our game and it helped us alot. ((:
